Submissions
Author Guidelines
Manuscripts may be submitted in either English or Indonesian. All submissions will undergo an initial review by the Editorial Board prior to the peer-review process.
The main manuscript file must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx). Submitted manuscripts must present original scholarly work and demonstrate a meaningful contribution to scientific advancement. Authors must strictly adhere to the formatting requirements specified in the journal TEMPLATE [DOWNLOAD].
Manuscripts must be organized in the following order:
a. Title
The title, written in English or Indonesian, must clearly reflect the main content of the manuscript. It should be informative, concise, and precise, without being overly wordy. Mathematical formulas and uncommon abbreviations should be avoided.
Formatting:
Times New Roman, 16 pt, Bold, Centered, Capitalize Each Word.
b. Author(s) Name(s)
Provide the full name(s) of the author(s) without academic degrees or professional titles. For multi-author manuscripts, complete contact details must be provided.
Formatting:
Times New Roman, 12 pt.
c. Author Affiliation(s)
Each author’s name must be followed by their complete institutional affiliation, including institution name, department (if applicable), region, country, and email address.
Formatting:
Times New Roman, 11 pt.
d. Abstract
The abstract must be written in a single paragraph in either standard English or Indonesian using proper academic language and correct spelling. The abstract should not exceed 250 words.
It must briefly summarize:
- The research background,
- Research objectives,
- Methods,
- Key findings,
- Conclusions.
Avoid including citations, references, and unexplained abbreviations in the abstract.
The abstract must be provided in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.

Times New Roman, 12 pt, single spacing, italic.
e. Keywords
Provide 3–5 keywords, written in lowercase and separated by commas (e.g., keyword 1, keyword 2, keyword 3).
Introduction
The Introduction must contain:
- A concise and clearly articulated background,
- A clear problem statement and research objectives,
- Relevant literature,
- The proposed approach or solution,
- The novelty or originality of the study.
The text must be written narratively without subheadings. Operational definitions, if necessary, should also be presented narratively. All references cited must be properly acknowledged.
Citations must follow the American Psychological Association (APA) Style, using in-text citations (bodynotes), e.g., (Bunahri, 2022).
A complete research article must follow the standard IMRaD structure:
- Introduction
- Comprehensive Theoretical Framework or Literature Review (optional)
- Method
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion

f. Literature Review
The Literature Review defines the theoretical boundaries and conceptual framework of the study. Authors must conduct a thorough review of relevant scholarly sources prior to manuscript preparation.
To avoid plagiarism, authors must paraphrase appropriately and may use either direct or indirect citations with proper acknowledgment. This section may be divided into subsections where necessary.
g. Method
The Method section must clearly describe:
- Research design,
- Population and sample or research subjects,
- Time and location of the study,
- Instruments,
- Research procedures,
- Data collection and analysis techniques,
- Other relevant methodological considerations.
This section may be divided into subsections.
h. Results and Discussion
This section must present:
- Research findings (in a concise format),
- Data analysis,
- Interpretation and critical discussion of the results.
Results may be presented in tables or figures to enhance clarity and readability. Visual presentations should complement, not replace, narrative explanations.
The discussion must explicitly address the research questions or hypotheses stated in the Introduction. This section may also be divided into subsections.
i. Conclusion
The Conclusion must:
- Directly relate to the research title,
- Address the research objectives or problem statements,
- Be fully supported by the findings.
Avoid introducing new discussions, repeating the abstract, or merely listing findings. Do not use bullet points; conclusions must be written in paragraph form.
Authors should clearly state the implications or contributions of the study to industrial engineering or science in general.
j. References
References must include all sources cited in the text and must be derived from credible, original, and scholarly sources such as academic books and peer-reviewed journal articles.
The reference list must:
- Be arranged alphabetically (A–Z),
- Follow the APA (American Psychological Association) Style,
- Contain at least 15 relevant and recent sources.
Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero.
Additional Formatting Instructions
Tables
- Tables must be centered.
- Table captions must be placed above the table, centered, and single-spaced.
- Tables must be numbered consecutively.
- Source information (if applicable) must be placed below the table in Times New Roman, 10 pt.
- Text inside tables must be single-spaced.
- Use horizontal lines only; vertical lines should be omitted.
Figures
- Figures must be centered and referenced in the text.
- Figure captions must be placed below the figure and numbered consecutively.
- Captions must begin with a capital letter and be single-spaced if longer than one line.
- If adapted or reproduced from another source, proper citation must be included.
- Figure source information must be written in Times New Roman, 10 pt.
